Indonesia Shares Higher Early Led By Gains In TelkomJAKARTA (Dow Jones)--Indonesian shares are marginally higher early Tuesday led by buying in Telekomunikasi Indonesia on expectations of higher full-year earnings due to its strong cellular and fixed-line services, dealers said. Overall sentiment, however, remains cautious amid worries that local retail investors may continue to take profit, tracking losses in several regional markets. At 0240 GMT, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite was up 1.854 points, or 0.2%, at 890.592. Gainers led decliners 16 to seven, while 38 stocks were unchanged. Volume was 42 million shares worth IDR62 billion. Bellwether Telkom is up 1.1% at 4,675 also after its American Depositary Receipts in New York rose 3.55% to $21.15. Indonesian Satelite has gained 1% to IDR5,250 on a rebound and after its ADRs ended up 1.1% at $29.33. Also higher are shares in Bank Rakyat Indonesia, which are up 1.3% at IDR2,000. Profit-taking has hit Bank Negara Indonesia shares, which are down 1.8% to IDR1,400.
