Foreign Investment in Taiwan Stock Market up

TAIPEI, Nov 9 Asia Pulse - The net volume of foreign investment in the Taiwan Stock Exchange for last week was NT$97.11 billion (US$2.95 billion), with selling registered at NT$50.33 billion, leaving net buying of NT$46.78 billion, Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TSEC) officials said Monday.

From the beginning of this year until Nov. 5, net buying snowballed to NT$198.84 billion, according to statistics released by the TSEC. Foreign investors purchased a total of more than NT$3 trillion-worth of shares listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, accounting for 22.52 percent of the total market turnover, up NT$185.35 billion from Oct. 29.
